ABOUT SOUP UP

I’m truly humbled to introduce you to a wonderful concept called Soup Up.

Its story began with a simple desire to offer you and your loved ones fresh, delicious, and wholesome homemade-style soup—much like the ones I enjoyed as a child in my country of birth, Jamaica. These soups were not only comforting and satisfying, but also naturally flavorful, filling, and ABSOLUTELY delicious.

As an adult, I found myself searching for soups of the same quality as those made by the women in my family. Instead, I found high-sodium soups, many loaded with heavy cream and ingredients too difficult to pronounce. In 2012, I decided to create my own line of soups, starting with a diverse selection of vegan, non-vegan, and gluten-free hearty options. Today, there are more than 179 choices available—each one freshly made in small batches using locally sourced, fresh herbs, spices, and ground provisions from the Caribbean. Yes, even our chicken soups are packed with homemade goodness. My soups contain no pork, dairy, oil, or butter. They’re not just tasty, but incredibly good for you.

I invite you to rediscover the joy of soup—the aroma, the texture, the taste, and the calming effect… that irresistible comfort of indulging in something that’s good for both your body and soul. I’m confident you’ll find pure satisfaction in every spoonful of my soups, crafted with your health and happiness in mind.

I invite you to visit us at Soup Up!

Peace & Blessings,
Donna

Community engagement is important to us at Soup Up.

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with a group of bright and curious kindergarteners at Powell Elementary School sharing the classic folktale, Stone Soup.  In the story, a stranger comes to a village with nothing but a stone and a pot and teaches the community a powerful lesson:  when everyone comes together and contributes, even the simplest things can transform into something magical.  After watching a Jamaican version of the story, we dressed the children in colorful mini chef aprons and caps, rolled up our sleeves and made our own version of stone soup, working together to create something special.  It was a day filled with excitement, teamwork, creativity and the joy of sharing -- lessons that I hope my young chefs will carry with them as they grow.

If you would like for us to visit your school or community event for children, please send a request to Donna at donna@soupup.us.
